EMRMC donates supplies to relief effort in Haiti
Like millions around the world, the Associates of Ephraim McDowell Health have been greatly saddened by the devastating earthquake in Haiti that occurred January 12. As a result, Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center has donated supplies to the relief effort in Haiti. In addition, two of the Medical Center’s employees will be traveling to Haiti to participate in disaster relief.

Ina Glass, R.N., chief nursing officer at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, and Ginger Elliot, R.N., infection prevention coordinator at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, have traveled to Haiti to help with the relief efforts.
Glass and Elliott left for Haiti on February 2 with a group from OMS International Inc. They are in Port-Au-Prince and will be there for two weeks providing medical assistance.
Ephraim McDowell Health donated sterile gloves and other medical supplies that will be delivered by the two employees. Ina will be sharing regular updates from her mission work in Haiti, which can be viewed on the Ephraim McDowell Health Facebook page.
Ephraim McDowell Health is partnering with other hospitals in Kentucky and around the nation to provide aid to Haiti. Individuals interested in donating time, money or equipment are encouraged to donate via USAID or other well-established private sector relief organizations.
