At the core of the system is Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, a 222-bed, not-for-profit hospital that was established 120 years EMRMCago.

Our modern 222-bed facility is dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of people in Boyle and the surrounding counties. State-of-the-art technology provides the medical staff with fast, accurate information and advanced techniques to diagnose and treat illnesses. Our Associates are committed to providing the highest quality service in a comfortable, caring environment.

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center is located at 217 South Third Street in the heart of downtown Danville. Visitors and patients may park in the visitor parking lot located adjacent to the South Wing (accessed off Figg Alley via Third Street or Fourth Street) or they may park on the fourth level of the City Parking Garage. We will validate your parking ticket for free parking. Please bring it with you to the Information Desk or Registration.

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center's Outpatient Pharmacy offers curbside, 15-minute parking for its customers. These spaces are located off Third Street.

EMRMC

From Lexington:
Follow U.S. 27 south approximately 27 miles to KY 34. Turn right on KY 34 and drive about seven miles until you arrive in Danville at Fourth Street, which is a one-way street heading south. Turn left on Fourth Street, go four blocks, then turn left onto Figg Alley. To park in the City Parking Garage, proceed to the intersection with Third Street, make a left turn onto Third Street and drive one block to the parking garage entrance. You may park free by bringing your ticket to the Information Desk.

From Mount Vernon and Stanford:
Follow U.S. 150 approximately eight miles. At the U.S. 27 intersection in Stanford, stay on U.S. 150, which becomes the U.S. 150 bypass. Drive about three miles and the bypass becomes U.S. 150 West. Drive about 10 miles to U.S. 127. Turn right on U.S. 127 and follow this highway, which becomes Third Street, which is a one-way street heading north. The Figg Alley entrance is on the left. To park in the City Parking Garage, proceed one block to the parking garage entrance. You may park free by bringing your ticket to the Information Desk.

From Russell Springs and Liberty:
Follow U.S. 127 a distance of about 47 miles from Russell Springs and about 26 miles from Liberty. At the U.S. 127/U.S. 150 bypass intersection, stay on U.S. 127 (Hustonville Road), which becomes Third Street, which is a one-way street heading north. The Figg Alley entrance is on the left. To park in the City Parking Garage, proceed one block to the parking garage entrance. You may park free by bringing your ticket to the Information Desk.

From Louisville and Harrodsburg:
Follow I-64 East from Louisville a distance of approximately 43 miles. Take exit 48 (KY 151) towards U.S. 127 and Lawrenceburg. Follow KY 151 about six miles, turn right onto the U.S. 127 bypass and drive about six miles until the bypass becomes U.S. 127 South. Continue on U.S. 127 South about 22 miles and the road then becomes the U.S. 127 bypass. Drive about two miles, then turn left onto U.S. 150/KY 52 and continue about two miles until you arrive in Danville at Fourth Street, which is a one-way street heading south. Turn right on Fourth Street, then turn left onto Figg Alley. To park in the City Parking Garage, proceed to the intersection with Third Street, make a left turn onto Third Street and drive one block to the parking garage entrance. You may park free by bringing your ticket to the Information Desk.

From Bardstown and Springfield:
Follow U.S. 150 a distance of about 16 miles. Stay straight to go onto U.S. 150/KY 152 about one mile, then stay straight to go onto U.S. 150. Drive about 16 miles until U.S. 150 becomes U.S. 150/U.S. 68. Stay straight to go onto U.S. 150/KY 52 and drive about nine miles. Go straight through the U.S. 127/U.S. 150 bypass intersection and continue about two miles until you arrive in Danville at Fourth Street, which is a one-way street heading south. Turn right on Fourth Street, then turn left onto Figg Alley. To park in the City Parking Garage, proceed to the intersection with Third Street, make a left turn onto Third Street and drive one block to the parking garage entrance. You may park free by bringing your ticket to the Information Desk.

Inpatient units: 8:00am - 8:30pm (may vary depending on patients' needs). At 8:30pm, an announcement will be made that visiting hours VisitorInformationare ending and that overnight visitors or those staying extra time must request passes from the nursing station or Security. When a room is occupied by two patients, only one visitor may remain in the room overnight and must be of the same sex, except in extenuating circumstances and with the permission of the roommate and supervisors.

Children: Children under the age of 8 must be supervised by an adult at all times and may visit until 8:30 p.m. Children may not visit patients who are in isolation.

Number of visitors: We ask that you please limit visitors to two at a time.

Restrooms: Visitors are asked to use public restrooms and not use the patient's bathroom.

Disruptive behavior: Visitors who behave in a way that is disturbing to patients or that interferes with patient care may be asked to leave the patient's room.

Special visiting rules: A number of units at EMRMC have special rules about visiting -

Critical Care

Visitors are welcome when the patient's condition allows it. Visitors are asked to use the intercom outside the waiting area before entering a patient's room.

Visiting WILL NOT be allowed from 6:30a.m. - 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Obstetrics/Newborns

Visitors should be limited to two at one time – other than the support person and the immediate family's children.

During delivery, your support person and up to two visitors may be in the room, if desired.

We discourage visits by children other than the newborn's siblings due to the possibility of exposure of the newborn to a communicable disease or infection.

Pediatrics

Visiting hours are 8:00 am - 8:30pm. We require 24-hour support from a parent or guardian.

Behavioral Health

Visiting hours are Monday – Friday, 4:00pm - 5:00pm; Saturday, Sunday & Holidays, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Children 13 and under may visit only on Sundays and holidays.
