Patients & Visitors Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

When you are hospitalized at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, you can find comfort in knowing that there is an on-site chaplain available to address your spiritual needs. Our ClergyServiceschaplain is trained to help ease your mind about your illness or the tests you will undergo, helping you find peace and comfort that will aid your recovery. The Pastoral Care Services department is committed to respecting your beliefs. In addition to two chaplains, Pastoral Care Services uses volunteer chaplains to ensure that spiritual care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also welcome your personal clergy to provide pastoral care at his or her convenience.

A chapel is located on the ground floor of the South Wing off the Figg Alley entrance. A meditation room is available on the third floor across from Room 330 and also on the fifth floor near the stairwell.

Bibles are available in each patient room's bedside table. Spanish-language New Testaments are available at each nursing station or upon request from the chaplains at extension 1214 or 2416. If you prefer another sacred text, we will do what we can to accommodate your needs.

Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital

A chapel is centrally located within the hospital, across from the Gift Shop.  Volunteer chaplains are available to address your spiritual needs, and we also welcome your personal clergy to provide pastoral care at his or her convenience.

Our chaplains are available to pray with you, and you also have the option of dialing extension 1215 to hear a recorded prayer. The message changes daily. You may also use this extension to leave a prayer request or to request a chaplain's visit.
