August 29, 2018 – Harrodsburg, Kentucky – Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital (EMJBHH) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care. Deanna Arnold, RN, a nurse in the Case Management Department, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. A resident of Mercer County, Deanna has been caring for patients at EMJBHH for the past 3 years and served as a Registered Nurse in Mercer and surrounding counties for over 20 years.
She was nominated for the award by a patient’s family member that said, “We will all be forever grateful for the above and beyond act of kindness Deanna showed our family. Deanna was very gracious and we very much appreciate how in tune she was to what was transpiring in that hospital room.”
Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital and Ephraim McDowell James B.
