Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital nurse recognized for extraordinary service

Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital (EMJBHH) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care.  Kelly Vinton, RN, a medical surgical nurse, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award.  A resident of Jessamine County, Kelly has been caring for patients for twenty two years and has been with EMJBHH for the past year and a half.

She was nominated for the award by a patient that said, “Kelly has a caring nature. She took time to listen to me while I was hospitalized and did not seem to get hurried. She was organized, prepared and spent quality time with me, treating me as if I was her only patient. Kelly was confident in her skills and in turn gave me confidence in her. She is top notch and has found her calling for sure!”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital and Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
