Who Will Care For Baby?
During the last two months of your pregnancy, we encourage you to select a physician who will care for your newborn in the hospital and/or after your baby has gone home. Please refer to the “Preparing for Your Baby’s Arrival and Hospital Stay” booklet that you received during a prenatal visit for a list of physicians available to care for your baby.
Arriving at the Hospital
If you are delivering at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, please go to Registration, located on the first floor adjacent to the Emergency Department Waiting Area. After you register, you will be directed to the McDowell Birthing Center. If you arrive after 9:00 p.m., the only entrance that will be open at that time is the one at the Emergency Department.
