Through our Occupational Health and Wellness Program, we partner with the local business community to improve the health and wellness of employees while slowing the rise of health care costs. Our program offers comprehensive services that focus on health, wellness, prevention and disease management for employers, employees and their families. Services may be purchased individually or as a complete health and wellness package. For more information, please call (859) 239-2352.
Our program provides a full range of services including the following:
On-site Registered Nurse Access
An on-site health care professional serves as a resource to your employees and also provides treatment for work and non-work related injuries and illnesses. The nurse is also available to support your safety program through education, worker’s compensation and case management by following up directly with physicians to minimize lost work days, FMLA or disability claims administration and as a health coach. Nurses are available on a full-time or part-time basis.
Disease Management Intervention
Early identification and treatment of a chronic health problem is important to your employees, but it also decreases absenteeism and minimizes health care claims. More importantly, preventing a chronic condition will have an even greater impact for your employees as well as your company.
We offer DOT, NDOT, express, pre-employment, random and for cause urine drug screens. The drug screens can be performed at the employer’s site or in the Occupational Health Department. Other testing is available upon request.
This on-site test collects and validates all demographic and exposure data to ensure OSHA compliance. Testing provides regularly-scheduled results compared to baseline data with on-screen audiogram graphs updated in real time.
Medical Team Process
A board-certified physician who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation is available to consult on worker’s compensation injuries, evaluate the need for physical therapy and perform employment physicals. Registered nurses are also available for on-site services.
Soft Tissue Program
An occupational therapist, certified in providing therapeutic treatment for musculoskeletal injuries, is available to provide a soft tissue program. This prevents the exacerbation of injuries that may result in lost work time and/or costly workers’ compensation claims.
Occupational Health Immunizations
Immunizations protect your employees from common illnesses. At your request, we can provide your employees with annual influenza immunizations as well as tetanus immunizations as needed. Other immunizations are available upon request.
Occupational Health Educational Classes
Educational classes can be provided to your employees through an on-site Lunch and Learn program presented by a registered dietitian or one of our fitness professionals. In addition, we can also provide on-site CPR and First Aid training and certification to your employees.
This screening provides a snapshot for an individual at a given point in time and helps to identify behaviors that need to be modified for a healthier lifestyle. Each participant will have a coach to assure he/she is following their personal action plan.
Occupational Health Assessment
Through our Health Risk Assessments and Wellness Screenings, we can help your employees increase awareness of their current health status and how to improve it. Your employees will also learn how their behaviors impact their health risks. Through preventive health screenings, your employees will benefit from early detection of illnesses.
Our wellness coaches are trained to ask the right questions to help your employees change behaviors to improve their health status. Even if an employee does not have a specific risk factor, they can still benefit from learning how to have a healthier lifestyle.
Our program includes health trackers your employees can use to track the progress of their individualized lifestyle changes.
We will provide your employees an individualized health consultation with a registered nurse to learn more about their health status and how their changed behaviors will reduce their health risks.
